Team work !! I've not had much to do with the 2.0, but have tested and failed the actuator vacuum solenoid on a couple occasions. The 1.0 suffers with P132B and tends to be a failed one way valve in the vac pump, but I'm unsure (without looking) if the 2.0 has a similar vac' layout or not. The fact of the matter is you now require a new engine and you will be extremely unlikely to get anyone to make any kind of financial contribution for the replacement. A brand new Ford 1.0 Ecoboost engine can be bought from Puma Speed for around £1999. They also offer a supply and fit of a new engine for about £2999 but of course you will Your engine temperature sensor is responsible for relaying your engine temp to the ECU. Once the temp gets so hot, the ECU commands the radiator fan to come on. If your Focus has a bad engine temp sensor the radiator fan won’t know to come on, because the ECU won’t know how hot the engine is. You’ll need to locate and test the engine temp The 1.0 ECOboost has a multistage cooling system with 2 thermostats. It is not uncommon for one of the thermostats to fail on a 1.0 ECOboost. A failed thermostat directly affects engine temperature and if the engine does not reach normal operating temperature it will also affect fuel economy. 1. Quote. You should be able to squeeze 200hp from 1l turbo whit "relative" ease. ( durability is whole different story). But - personally i i'm more interested about the 140hp variant of the 1l ecoboost. According to ford ETIS there is 140hp 1l ecoboost available, and it would be nice to find way to "unlock" it on the 125hp model. perrykjjsherwood. 1 post · Joined 2022. #28 · Jun 9, 2022. Had a head inspection done and shows no significant wear.
She has experienced an intermittent problem where she has experienced a loss of power (turbo not working)and car goes into "limp" mode. A warning light appears with a sign indicating "engine needing service" If she stops and leaves the car for about an hour the car returns to normal operation.
